twenty-five crows (朱) action/voice
[Private message to Sasuke, left this morning]
Are you still here, little brother?
[End message]
[Itachi has remained surprisingly unaffected by the current event, something he is positive of and incredibly glad for. While such events had helped move along his relationship with Law in the first place, he has no desire to add further complications on top of this.
Not wanting to remain cooped up in the house, and hoping that any chance for him to be affected from here on out has since past, the ninja can be found feeding birds near the fountain at the center of town. It's been a while since he's done this, despite it being a past-time he enjoys. It's also a good way to get out and learn about current events without simply sitting with his journal laid open all day.
The only odd thing about this scenario is that, despite the variety of birds that can be found within the village, the majority of those alighting to pick at the scattered breadcrumbs are crows.]

But no hurry. Law's just thanking the seas for something other than white walls. Fresh air is a treat.]
You know, I can't help but be reminded of that one time in September. I think I haven't seen so many birds around since then.
[His ears may be perked for talk of a little prank he pulled on the seventeenth as well. Stir craziness thy name was Law. Getting outside is a mercy in more than one way]

[That he already connects will with some of them has absolutely nothing to do with it, of course...
He considers asking Law how his injuries are doing, but that would make the third time today, so he holds off.]
Of course, if you do it too often they come to expect it. And then they become pests.

I wonder who's been feeding the seagulls by the docks, then. I've nearly been mugged the last few times I've tried to have lunch on the deck of my boat.
no subject
[He's mildly amused by the mental image of Law swiping the birds away.]

[A crow hops up onto the back of the bench and scuttle-hops towards Law, eye on the gold in his ears. Shiiiiny. *_*]
Though they aren't the only pirate birds around.
... don't even think about it.
[Eyeing the crow back. HE'S ONTO YOU. He's done this song and dance before.
Thanks, Namipie.](no subject)

Listening? Waiting?
[There's a pause.]
He's left, you know.
private.
[ He's quiet again. This is not news to him, he even responded to it a while back. He just stopped after a while. ]
Yeah, I know. Did you expect me to react? He's left before. So have I.
private.
Tell me, little brother - have you taken up any new hobbies in all the time you spend on your own?
private.
[ ... ]
... And, yeah, I have. It'd be impossible to stay here this long without finding something to do. [ More ellipses. ] I'm assuming you have too?

It takes her a minute, but when her own birds go and start picking at the bed, she'll approach.]
Are these your friends?
[Action]
I have a certain fondness for birds, these especially... But I don't know if "friends" is the term I'd use.
We are on good terms, nothing more.
[Action]
Well, Phobos and Deimos want to thank you, they're my friends. And they seem to be enjoying your breadcrumbs.
[Action]
[He's not going to discriminate.]
[Action]
[They're not greedy birds!]
Do you do this often?

Ah... Marco, isn't it?
[Action]
Aye, I'm Marco.
[Switches back to human, and grabs a seat.] Mind if I join you? [He asks... when he already has more or less.]
[Action]
...But I've gotten fairly good at recognizing others by their voice. [And he's been on the journals as a bird before too, of course. That always helps.]
[Action]
I forgot about my voice. I should have tried bird singing.
How's your day going Itachi?

[Referencing the number of crows, Masaomi says this with a degree of irreverency as he walks by. He's still not... sure... what... he should think of Itachi. The vibe he's gotten is that the dude's dangerous, but then he helped out with that Bil thing and Law apparently likes him a lot so.
So he'll get some balls and pursue a conversation again]

[Itachi gives him a purposefully blank look, as though he doesn't see anything unusual about his current choice of company.]
These are simply the ones more familiar with me - thus the first to arrive and claim the ground.
no subject
[With a little rock from one leg to the other, he puts his elbows on his hips with a little flourish as he settles in]
no subject
[Getting comfortable, are we?]
Is there something I can do for you, Masaomi-san? Or has the day blessed you with too much free time.
