[Private message to Sasuke, left this morning]
Are you still here, little brother?
[End message]
[Itachi has remained surprisingly unaffected by the current event, something he is positive of and incredibly glad for. While such events had helped move along his relationship with Law in the first place, he has no desire to add further complications on top of this.
Not wanting to remain cooped up in the house, and hoping that any chance for him to be affected from here on out has since past, the ninja can be found feeding birds near the fountain at the center of town. It's been a while since he's done this, despite it being a past-time he enjoys. It's also a good way to get out and learn about current events without simply sitting with his journal laid open all day.
The only odd thing about this scenario is that, despite the variety of birds that can be found within the village, the majority of those alighting to pick at the scattered breadcrumbs are crows.]

Although now that I said that out loud, I'm starting to reconsider my choices in life.
[Maybe Mihawk was right and he needs a better hobby.]
[Action]
[He's definitely gotten a little more acquainted with that sort since he's been here.]
That's rather harmless, all things considered.
[Action]
Everyone lately seems to think I need to do something better with my time. And then they leave, so they lost all right to have a say. That, or they're Mihawk. Mihawk never gets a say.

At least worth a mention, then.

[Action]
There's an interesting mix from your world, isn't there?
[Action]

[Action]
Maybe that's why Ace always keeps coming back. He knows everyone.
[Action]
Do you know of any one individual who might be the connective link between you all? I have, as of yet, been unable to tell if it's that centered, but I'm not willing to rule that out.
[Action]
[Action]
A bridge?
[Action]
[Action]
Are either of them here now?
[Action]
[Action]
...Though despite my theory being mostly correct so far, the Malnosso don't always keep those major connections here, so I end up wondering the point of it.
[Unless their ideas about who the connecting party is are wrong.]
[Action]
He's usually pretty familiar to a lot of people. He gets out a lot. Orange cowboy hat and a billion freckles. He's friends with Law too.
[Action]
I'm guessing you two are close.

Ace means the world to me in a lot of ways, but he had that effect on a lot of people. I just gave up fighting it years ago and came to peace with the terms of it.
[The grin fades a little. He came to peace with Ace becoming an instantly wildly important part of his life, but not with the removal of that insertion. It was strange really. Back then, he would have sworn anything that coming to terms with Ace being an inevitable part of his life would have been the harder part, but it had wound up so easy. Losing Ace? It was becoming ever bit as difficult as losing his father. Or maybe it was just that he lost them both at the same time.]
