[Itachi has remained surprisingly unaffected by the current event, something he is positive of and incredibly glad for. While such events had helped move along his relationship with Law in the first place, he has no desire to add further complications on top of this.

Not wanting to remain cooped up in the house, and hoping that any chance for him to be affected from here on out has since past, the ninja can be found feeding birds near the fountain at the center of town. It's been a while since he's done this, despite it being a past-time he enjoys. It's also a good way to get out and learn about current events without simply sitting with his journal laid open all day.

The only odd thing about this scenario is that, despite the variety of birds that can be found within the village, the majority of those alighting to pick at the scattered breadcrumbs are crows.]

Man, Itachi-san, even the birds think you're ominous.

[Referencing the number of crows, Masaomi says this with a degree of irreverency as he walks by. He's still not... sure... what... he should think of Itachi. The vibe he's gotten is that the dude's dangerous, but then he helped out with that Bil thing and Law apparently likes him a lot so.

These are simply the ones more familiar with me - thus the first to arrive and claim the ground.

I couldn't say I know much about Luceti's pigeon population. Perhaps there simply aren't many.

Nope! So, unless I'm hitting the ladies, I'm going to guess I got all the time in the world, or at least enough time for this world.

I can't say I'm the most exciting of company, in that case. Do you care much for bird feeding?

I've never really done it. I mean, in the 'buro, you can do it to pigeons all the time, but they'll mob you quickly.

Just toss out a few bits at a time. Scatter them so they don't fall over themselves trying to get to one large clump.

I don't recommend feeding them all the time, however. Then they become used to getting their food from humans and come to expect it, which can make them a nuisance.

I don't believe so. They're scavengers. If they become a nuisance it's because too much has been left out that will attract them.

It's a relatively harmless method of survival, all things considered, and necessary.

Hoooh. You know a lot about birds, Itachi-san? [He says this with a held tilt to the side and hands the bag back]

I'm no expert. It's just good to be familiar with the creatures you work with.

Mmmmaaah, that just fits with the whole image you've got going. You're a scary fellow, like I've said before, and ganging up a murder to flock with you just seems to cement it.

Yes.

That is to say that you could, not that you currently are. But it hardly matters. You don't honestly fear me or you wouldn't seek conversation with me as often as you do.

That's one theory for it, anyway. [Really, Itachi was spooky - he still is spooky - but he's not immediately something awe inspiring to him (like Katara or Law) right now, but he's also not something mundane. He's something that clearly makes a reaction in other people he knows are impressive, and related to someone he genuinely does fear.

Not that this plays out on his face with the easy smile on it which doesn't entirely meet his eyes] It could just be your gravitas.
