[Private message to Sasuke, left this morning]
Are you still here, little brother?
[End message]
[Itachi has remained surprisingly unaffected by the current event, something he is positive of and incredibly glad for. While such events had helped move along his relationship with Law in the first place, he has no desire to add further complications on top of this.
Not wanting to remain cooped up in the house, and hoping that any chance for him to be affected from here on out has since past, the ninja can be found feeding birds near the fountain at the center of town. It's been a while since he's done this, despite it being a past-time he enjoys. It's also a good way to get out and learn about current events without simply sitting with his journal laid open all day.
The only odd thing about this scenario is that, despite the variety of birds that can be found within the village, the majority of those alighting to pick at the scattered breadcrumbs are crows.]

[He's mildly amused by the mental image of Law swiping the birds away.]

[A crow hops up onto the back of the bench and scuttle-hops towards Law, eye on the gold in his ears. Shiiiiny. *_*]
Though they aren't the only pirate birds around.
... don't even think about it.
[Eyeing the crow back. HE'S ONTO YOU. He's done this song and dance before.
Thanks, Namipie.]no subject
Piratical, hm? I hadn't really made that connection.
Perhaps I'm drawn to a certain type after all.

[Grinning. And flirting back. And maybe looking a bit smug, in a cat got the cream sort of way.
Because. Itachi doing any sort of flirting in public. Day. Made.
Teasing.]
Or perhaps we just... slipped into your affections. We're a sneaky lot, us thieves of a feather, we.
no subject
Apparently we've been outdone.
[He smiles a little. His brother might have fits if he saw this.]
no subject
Nah.
You made off with my heart first, after all.
no subject
That was sweet, Law, but terribly cliche. He can't help himself.]
no subject
Shooting over another grin.]

Heeeey... I have to get moving sometime too. [No grump or growl or whine. Just a bit of drawl on the 'Hey'.] It's also not good for me to spend too much time sitting still. [Admittedly the only moving he did was the easy walk to the plaza before parking his ass on the bench and staying there.]
I promise I'll take it easy. And if I don't... you're welcome to kick my ass til I do.
no subject
[He smiles again.]
But I might just consider it anyway, should that happen.
no subject
[Smiling as he closes his eyes briefly and turns back to his book. Subject change incoming.
Well after he gets through a chapter or two.]
This is a good book. You should read it when I'm done.
no subject
[A curious tilt of the head.]
What is it?
no subject
It's centered around an ex-convict's journey towards redemption and the social upheaval that occurs during his life.
no subject
[He admittedly finds the premise a bit interesting himself.]
no subject
[Aside from Jean Valjean, there's no appeal like well deserved revolution. Even if it was ultimately futile, the people rising up was something he wanted to see at home.]
no subject
[He trusts his partner not to have terrible taste in literature.]
no subject
[Glancing towards the smithy.]
... I hope they don't have a lot of projects going these days.
no subject
[...Perhaps he could convince Law to read it to him. Reading can be such a strain nowadays. Having to activate his sharingan for it seems a little ridiculous.
It's because of his bad eyesight that he misses Law's glance.]
Hm?
no subject
Aa, the smithy. My blade needs some repairs. [Because of you know what.] Hopefully it won't have to be in the shop too long.
[Even if he's not cleared to fight, he's not going to like being parted with it. A swordsman walking around with no sword is like walking around naked.]
no subject
[Now that he thinks about it, he should probably have some more kunai commissioned. He might need them later.]
no subject
[Especially after the events of the mad scramble to be deployed to fight and the harm having their usual weapons barred from the fight had caused. If the Malnosso forbade them again due to them not being manufactured on this world, he wanted something reliable he could grab in a hurry and trust.]
no subject
[As much as he might try to get by without weapons, there are some things a well placed kunai is just better for.]
no subject
You thinking of picking up anything there yourself?
no subject
[A sword of his own might not hurt either, but he's not terribly certain about picking one up again just yet.]
