[Itachi has remained surprisingly unaffected by the current event, something he is positive of and incredibly glad for. While such events had helped move along his relationship with Law in the first place, he has no desire to add further complications on top of this.

Not wanting to remain cooped up in the house, and hoping that any chance for him to be affected from here on out has since past, the ninja can be found feeding birds near the fountain at the center of town. It's been a while since he's done this, despite it being a past-time he enjoys. It's also a good way to get out and learn about current events without simply sitting with his journal laid open all day.

The only odd thing about this scenario is that, despite the variety of birds that can be found within the village, the majority of those alighting to pick at the scattered breadcrumbs are crows.]

Seagulls can be quite the scavengers. If there are enough people living by the water, they won't have to be hand-fed.

They're piratical. [An amused wry huff.] Wonder if Mister... aa, aa... Captain Sparrow has had the same problem. [Leaning back.] Though knowing him, he might even be encouraging them.

Though they aren't the only pirate birds around.

[The bird isn't so bold that it would continue to bother Law after being noticed, and it hops away to join the others on the ground as though that had been its intent all along.]

Piratical, hm? I hadn't really made that connection.

[Given he just got released from the clinic and this is his first outing AND he gave too many people a hell of a scare (that he shouldn't have... it's something to consider for future training) he won't put up too much of a fuss. A little bit of token fuss, but that's for show mostly because he's injured, yes, and painfully aware of it, but he's not glass and shouldn't be treated as such.]

Heeeey... I have to get moving sometime too. [No grump or growl or whine. Just a bit of drawl on the 'Hey'.] It's also not good for me to spend too much time sitting still. [Admittedly the only moving he did was the easy walk to the plaza before parking his ass on the bench and staying there.]

[Aside from Jean Valjean, there's no appeal like well deserved revolution. Even if it was ultimately futile, the people rising up was something he wanted to see at home.]

I can't say I've heard of it, but if it's something you enjoy then I might have to look into it myself. Or at least borrow it from you once you're done.

[...Perhaps he could convince Law to read it to him. Reading can be such a strain nowadays. Having to activate his sharingan for it seems a little ridiculous.

I wouldn't imagine they'd be particularly backlogged. If all they need to do is fix a few nicks it should be back to you in no time.

I think I'll still pick up a spare sword while I'm there. Given what happened at Vaskoth, a Luceti made one would be a good idea to have around.

[Especially after the events of the mad scramble to be deployed to fight and the harm having their usual weapons barred from the fight had caused. If the Malnosso forbade them again due to them not being manufactured on this world, he wanted something reliable he could grab in a hurry and trust.]

...That's true. It never hurts to take precautions.

[As much as he might try to get by without weapons, there are some things a well placed kunai is just better for.]

[Sometimes precautions fall through, though. Keeping his wings covered didn't do much to keep the droids from getting at them. But they never hurt, and Law hums thoughtfully at his partner.]

You thinking of picking up anything there yourself?

I might... if it appears that a few more kunai would be handy.

[A sword of his own might not hurt either, but he's not terribly certain about picking one up again just yet.]
