[Private message to Sasuke, left this morning]
Are you still here, little brother?
[End message]
[Itachi has remained surprisingly unaffected by the current event, something he is positive of and incredibly glad for. While such events had helped move along his relationship with Law in the first place, he has no desire to add further complications on top of this.
Not wanting to remain cooped up in the house, and hoping that any chance for him to be affected from here on out has since past, the ninja can be found feeding birds near the fountain at the center of town. It's been a while since he's done this, despite it being a past-time he enjoys. It's also a good way to get out and learn about current events without simply sitting with his journal laid open all day.
The only odd thing about this scenario is that, despite the variety of birds that can be found within the village, the majority of those alighting to pick at the scattered breadcrumbs are crows.]

[Action]
[She doesn't know why though]
It's...been an odd year.
[She finds herself curious, at least]
May I sit with you a while? I have some tea in a thermos if you'd like.
[Action]
[He nods to the space next to him.]
I won't turn away some company for a bit. ...Or tea.
[Action]
No, it's been an eye opening experience though. I can't really say I'd have chosen to come here, but it's not so bad.
[Experiments aside]
[Action]
[He accepts the tea carefully, bad eyesight meaning he really only has a general approximation of where it is.]
I can't say that everything I've experienced here has been unpleasant.
[Action]
[She seems to pick up on that, a little at least, and makes sure he gets the cup without spilling. Anything else would be rude.]
There are times when it can be truly pleasant.
[Action]
Thankfully, the, ah, season of love seems to have passed. It doesn't always work out the best for everyone involved.
[His own previous experience being the exception.]
[Action]
[Rei...nods slowly, thinking back to Kari]
It was different. That was a new experience for me.
[Action]
I have no intention of prying, if so.
[Action]
[She shrugs]
Eye-opening, I guess you could say.
[Action]
I'm glad, then. Enough happens around here without residents having to have their hearts tampered with at the same time.
[Action]
[She gives him her best smile, reaching down to pat Phobos as the big crow hops up onto her lap.]
Or if not quiet, at least not...traumatic.
[Action]
Perhaps that's simply because I kept to myself for the greater part of it.
[Action]
[Action]
[He holds the bag of bread crumbs out to the girl.]
[Action]
[She takes a small handful and offers the crumbs to her companions, both of whom eagerly but gently begin pecking at her hand]
I don't leave the shrine often these days.
[Action]
...I admit I don't know much about the deities of other worlds, so I haven't visited it.
[Action]
[She shrugs]
And the shrine doesn't have a god. When I opened it, I dedicated it to the spirits of people who live her and who have departed. A memorial.
[Action]
To those who have died? Or to those who have been taken back to their own worlds.
Perhaps both?
[Action]
Both.
[Action]
It's good of you to keep such a place running.
[Action]
I think it's important. And there are not many miko in Luceti to do it.
[Action]
[This shouldn't be surprising, really.]
