[He'll get a little more than a peck, and Itachi smiles when he pulls away.]

We should actually make our way to the springs... before it gets cold.

[The joke being that it won't, of course.]

[Fffff... that joke. One more kiss before he leads Itachi back to the spring.]

Now that wouldn't do at all.

[He's going to wait until you get in first, Itachi. Given his weaknesses and a probable need for some assistance once he hits water.]

[Itachi knows, and he lowers himself in carefully first before offering a hand up to his partner.

Law will be completely fine with the ninja around. Itachi will make certain that's the case.]

[He takes it and gently eases himself into the water. Into Itachi's arms.

It doesn't stop every submerged part of him from locking up or his strength to leach away into the water. Leaving Law helpless and vulnerable. A Hammer.

But the water is warm and soothing even as it steals everything away. He sighs a little. He could never do this alone or with anyone he didn't completely trust.]

[The ninja eases his arms under him, just enough to hold him up while not being uncomfortable for both of them.

It looks as though Law will be able to relax despite his difficulties, which is good. That's what they're here for.]

Alright?

Mmm... fine. [He can slowly feel knots unwinding.] I'm adjusting.

It's been a long time since I've been able to do this.

[Itachi nods, leaning slightly into his partner's neck.]

We should do it more often.

We should.

Come up during the quiet times. [Since he really has liked their privacy for far more reasons than not having his weakness on display.] When the place can just be ours like it is now.

I would enjoy that.

[It likely would be like... well how it had been today, every time they came there, but that was for the best.

This little bit of comfort is enough.]

So would I.

[Small comforts. That's all they needed.

He continues to relax in Itachi's embrace, enjoying the silences that come and go just as much as their conversations.

Finally...]

... I miss the sea, you know. Now that things are getting warmer, come sailing with me?

[He hasn't been out for too long and the sea is in his blood. And well, Itachi knows a little now about the art from sailing with him a few times, and it's something Law wants to share.

It's no Grand Line out there but it's an important piece of who he is and his heritage nonetheless. Something he feels he's been losing a little.

It's honestly easier to be a ninja here in some ways than a pirate after all.]

[Unless there was something bad going on in the village, he had plenty of time to spare on enjoying such moments.

He really did need to get himself more involved, but for now he didn't see anything wrong with taking advantage of his free time.]

[Yes, that was important as well. If Law could read Itachi's thoughts, he'd agree. The last meeting had shown pretty plainly how frustrated Itachi had been with that.

What the ninja needed to do was find his niche. Law could help, but ultimately finding that perfect fit was dependant on Itachi himself.]

Mmm. Good. I can show off the ship coating I keep telling you about. Take you on a trip underwater.

Ah... that's right.

I would very much be interested in witnessing this firsthand.

[And he would. He hadn't seen many powerful ninjutsu techniques on open water, and he was sure there was one somewhere that could do similar, but if this is possible with a simple coating on a ship then that's something special.]

I should take you down to the temple ruins, then. [Make a day or two of it.] It's interesting down there.

Maybe make a mini vacation of it, if you want to learn how to sail a coated ship instead of just witnessing it?

I can't say I wouldn't be up for the latter.

There are few better ways to spend time here than through discovery.

Can't agree more. [Smiling.] We'll need a few days, then. There's a lot that goes in it.

[As he'll have to be sure Itachi's fully competent sailing on his own on top of the water before even attempting to teach the art of traveling underwater.

The Sharingan can only speed things up so far. Experience is as vital, if not more, compared to copied skill when it came to sailing.]

My coworkers will be glad I'm taking the time off. They say I work too hard. Even Miss Adele. They've been dropping hints the last little while.

Mn. They might be right.

[Not that Itachi is one to talk about working too hard.]

It would be good for both of us.

[... the more time together, the better. There was no knowing how much longer they'd get together.]

Say... while we're making plans... what about you? Is there anything you'd like for us to do too?

[You know he'd be up for pretty much anything.]

[He's thought about this before, but has never settled on anything.]

Maybe a walk. Just a long hike through the nearby area to get a better feel for it. To help a blind man hone his senses.

Mmm... I'm up for that. Have a long one up through here after we're done. Find somewhere interesting for that picnic I brought.

[He smiles a little.]

People don't explore the mountains much for some reason. Bet we could discover all sorts of things.

I hadn't intended to do it today... But I wouldn't be opposed to it either.

[He leans into Law a little more, still keeping the man steady in the water.]

[Yes, that's nice. He'd cuddle back, but paralyzed.]

I was thinking maybe more than just today? You gotta admit, it does both of us good to be out and moving.

[... pirates don't do well being stationary and in a routine for too long, and Law's feeling a bit restless with village life lately. It'll go away... but, still...]

That's also a viable option. Walking more often will only be positive for both of us in the long run.

[It would satisfy his curiosity as well as allow them to spend more time together doing something somewhat proactive, even if only mildly so.]

It would. Can't be stuck in the village all the time.

[... now while they're on the subject of things to do, perhaps more sparing in the future as well? But that's something to ask for later.]

Sometimes the place gets a little much after a while. It's good to get away.
