[Itachi notices that someone has been in his apartment immediately, but is hardly bothered by this given how little there is to steal. He assumes the trespasser was someone he knows, and though he isn't positive on the exact one his suspicions are confirmed when he notices the "gift".

He spends a good few long moments simply staring at it blankly before he automatically begins going about the job of checking to make sure he has everything he needs to feed and take care of it.

At least until he can figure out what he's going to do with it.

About the time he believes Law might be returning to his own apartment, he can be found sitting on the top of the stairs with the kitten in his lap.]
