Except no, at least one kitten goes skidding on the kitchen floor, and by the time they recover, there's tuna heaped in one bowl. Which all three promptly attack.

Law finishes spooning tuna, and then picks up two cats to plop them in front of their own bowls.

Then he needs to clean the mess up and wash up before getting started on his own meal.]

[Itachi hasn't yet started on his own. He stands by the table, waiting politely for his husband to finish up before taking a seat.]

I will have to make some dietary adjustments for them.

[A kitten needs different nourishment than an adult cat, after all.]

Itachi picks up his orange juice and sips from it casually, but otherwise remains standing.]

You don't have to take care of all that. I can prepare things as well.

Well... if you want to help me chop up things for this omelet, I won't say no.

[Eight egg omelet. Should be enough.]

[He meant feeding the cats, but this works too.]

[He's as efficient with a knife as a near blind man can be.]

[In which the peppers, tomatoes, onions, and avocado are all yours.]

The ninja walks over to the vegetables and gets out the cutting board so he can begin diligently chopping them up.]

[Law begins humming a sea shanty as he slices bacon and affectionately bumps his hip against Itachi's.

He has plans later for his birthday. Yes, he does.]

[The comment is made without a turn of his head, not a single mistake made as he's chopping.]

I'm good with a little unevenness. [Makes the texture interesting.] But I'll cut it out. [For now.] Don't want to knock that blade into your fingers.

[Not that he'd be upset if he was, but it really doesn't need to be done in his opinion. It's just another birthday.]

[Law just gets a brow raise for that one. That could still be any number of things, depending on the pirate's own definition of the word.

He slides some sliced veggies in the other's direction.]

[There's a little smile in response to that brow raise and Law goes right back to humming his sea shanty.

Does Itachi recognize Bink's Sake.

Veggies taken. Now to make his omelet.]

[He does. He's heard it from Law before, and his memory about such things is very good. It causes him to sigh inwardly. Dammit, Law.

He wanders back to the table as his husband finishes up, taking another sip of orange juice.]

[It doesn't take at all long to finish his omelet, the pirate keeping up humming out his song under his breath.

Then the tune changes to Ocean's Guide. It's a marine song, so he doesn't hum it often. The tune's more somber in nature - the song's purely a requiem unlike the other which does double duty as a party song as well.

The last few bars of that finish out as Law approaches with a monster omelet and a cup of black coffee. Because caffeine.]

[The change of tune peaks Itachi's curiosity, and he tilts his head in Law's direction. As the pirate sits, so does he. He'd prefer they eat together, as he's made clear by now.]

A very colorful breakfast.

Tasty too. [Oh frack, he forgot the yogurt. He'll get it in a bit.] Danishes good?

[He might get to Hoist the Colors later. Today simply is a day when he's reminiscing on seafaring songs.]

Very. [Though he's yet to eat much of them.]
