I spoke with Hel once. Odin a couple times. Nothing of importance was said. [He basically bitched at them.]

Getting a decent audience with them seems to require more effort than simply walking up and addressing one, and unfortunately we are at their mercy in that regard.

[And oh how he doesn't like that either.]

I haven't ever seen any of them in person aside from at that one festival.

[They can come out to play stupid ribbon games but not to address important matters.]

I was able to make a request to meet Hel at her shrine, provided I placed an offering first. But I did meet her at the festival in order to arrange it.

Do they respond to being called out over these?

What request? [That is news to him.]

You can leave them messages on these. I tried it once, with Hel, on the day I arrived.

It's not important. It didn't get anywhere.

I told her to send me back, she more or less told me to get lost.

Hm... Not a request they're likely to grant for anyone.

But perhaps they'd be more responsive to something else.

They usually reply, from what I know. [He has been in conversations before where people talked about messaging the gods.]

That's good to hear. I might be able to get something useful out of them eventually.

I think it largely depends on which one of them you talk to. [Of course he cannot back that up, since he has only spoken to a few.]

Maybe we'd get more luck with Freya, going by the type of people she likes to bring in.

Hm. Our conversation was brief.

Fairly serious, fairly straightforward. More no-nonsense than some, but not without a sense of humor.
