[This particular new feather is walking slowly through town, glancing around with a curious but detached sort of gaze. More than anything else, he looks lost.

Itachi could have snuck around for a while, done reconnaissance in the proper ninja fashion, but he was so thrown off by the mere matter of his continued existence that he hadn't even bothered.

He's silent, taking in everything without appearing to be doing so, journal held loosely in one hand.]

Something, maybe. [He casts another calm look down the road ahead of him. The buildings become more blurred together the further they are from where he stands, even with his Sharingan activated.] Just answers.

That makes two of us. [He shifts the books to his other hand. Probably new, then. Weird. They hadn't had New Feathers in ages...] No one knows why we're here, or what made us special enough to be brought here. We just know we're stuck.

We can guess all we want. Having the information confirmed is the tough part. These guys aren't very talkative, and there's no telling whether they're even reliable or not. [Most people took the Malnosso at their word, but he didn't. Ever.] We know a lot more than the people stuck here a year or two ago, but our resources are still very limited.

[He shakes his head.] Nope. I've just got a better memory than most. Comes with being a strategist and all.

My brother and I are military strategists by tradition. There isn't much for us to do here without wars to be fought, though. [A pause.] But that doesn't mean it's always quiet here.

[Itachi studies the area again and then changes the subject.] If I was looking for a place to stay, where would I go?

I'd have to agree with you there.

[Caesar motions toward one of the larger buildings.] There are plenty of empty rooms in those buildings. Some of the houses might still be free, too. Find one, and it's yours. [He pauses again. On that note...] If you go to the plaza, you can find your belongings in the stores there. Clothing, items, weapons - whatever it is, it'll show up there eventually.

[Itachi didn't believe he'd require a whole house, but this just confirmed what little he'd had the chance to read in his book.]
