[This particular new feather is walking slowly through town, glancing around with a curious but detached sort of gaze. More than anything else, he looks lost.

Itachi could have snuck around for a while, done reconnaissance in the proper ninja fashion, but he was so thrown off by the mere matter of his continued existence that he hadn't even bothered.

He's silent, taking in everything without appearing to be doing so, journal held loosely in one hand.]

[Itachi nods once, slowly.]

All right! Follow me then. [Heading to the Welcome Center now.]

First off, this place is called Luceti. Whatever you think it is? It's probably not. It's not a part of your world, an afterlife, or a dream.

[Following silently, Itachi takes note of the information, comparing it to what he's already been told and what he had a chance to read in the book.]

The residents are the same as you and me. None of us really belong from this place, but somehow were dragged along. The Malnosso, a group of scientists in charge of keeping us in this place, are not people you want to visit. Trust me. Even people who want to have a piece of them can never seem to beat them at their own game. Anything you want to know before I continue on?

Has anyone ever seen one of them? These scientists.

Actually, yeah. One or two of them, though they're not exactly the same as the Malnosso I meant.

So there are various ones that perform different tasks.

You... could say that. There's one guy, John, who isn't like the rest of them. He's the only some people here have probably met. Any encounters with the other Malnosso don't usually end well.

And this John - is he the black sheep?

Pretty much. He's helpful to us though. [A pause.] There's also this guy, Catherine, and a woman by the name of ANI who also converses with the residents. They help out too, actually.

I see.

[But did they really help out or just lure the residents into a false sense of security? Itachi doesn't voice these concerns, and in fact avoids appearing as though he has any.]

[Ted didn't care much either way. He didn't trust all of them one way or the other, but he wasn't exactly against them either. It's a matter of just letting them do whatever they want, in his case.] Anything else?

Not for the moment. I have a lot to come to terms with on my own.

That makes sense, and here we go! [Points to the Welcome Center.] This is the Welcome Center. Basically, if you're still confused about things here, the people in this place will try to give you proper accommodations until you can settle down. Food, clothes and maps can be found here, and you can stay they for a while if you haven't chosen a place to occupy yet.

[Itachi nods, taking the place in.]

[He nods again.] I will do so.
