[Itachi focuses the view on himself, sitting in the living room of the house he shares with Law. As usual, he's in a plain blue silk shirt with his black clothes beneath. At his feet, a gray cat rubs against the leg of his chair.]

It has come to my attention that several others from the world I originate from have arrived in Luceti. To them, if they are aware of who I am, I simply state my presence and assure that there is no need to consider me an adversary at this point in time. This is in the hopes of avoiding any unfortunate altercations in the future should we happen to run across each other.

[Things are chaotic enough as is.]

I am under close scrutiny [This is mostly true to a point.] and have been here for some time, so there is no cause for alarm.

[Konan has been investigating fairly carefully since she arrived, for any signs of a certain someone she failed to blow up. She's feeling safe enough to speak up.

[She's glad that if she had to run into another Akatsuki that isn't Nagato, that it was one of their more level-headed members.]

It doesn't, but there are other things that don't match up, either.

[Such as her fatal fight with Tobi, but research discovering that he'd been here months before.]

I've accepted that time flows differently here.

There are many strange things about this place that can be difficult to adjust to.

It's good that you aren't having too much difficulty with that so far.

The wings have been more difficult to accept, in all honesty.

[To say that she doesn't like having a great big target on her back is an understatement.]

They can be a bit of a... problem, yes.

At the very least, it's a weakness that everyone shares.

Very true. They do take a lot of getting used to.

How have you find life here, all in all?

...Peaceful, for the most part.

Aside from the experimentations, which can be admittedly frequent.

What sorts of things do the experiments typically entail?

Anything from changes in the environment to physical and mental changes in the villagers themselves.

It's disturbing to think that anyone has that much power.

[She's certain Itachi would have been able to see through an elaborate genjutsu.]

Yes, it is. More disturbing to realize that no one has yet to discover how as far as we know.

What sort of information gathering attempts have been made so far?

It's hard to say, since I'm not in contact with everyone. I know there is some locked channel in the journals that's supposed to be privated away from the Malnosso, but there's no saying how reliable that is since our captors made the devices in the first place.

Not to mention that residents are taken and added so frequently that it's difficult to keep track of everything. The best attempts are likely made by those who are, ironically, fighting the Malnosso's enemies.

Do you have the names of those people?

[He shakes his head.]

Anyone can be drafted for that. I'm saying it's the best opportunity, but not necessarily that anyone makes anything of it.

Should I find myself drafted, I'll be sure to make something of the opportunity.

It won't always be a guarantee that you can, but it doesn't hurt to try.

It seems wasteful not to. I'll be sure to let you know what happens if the situation arises.
