[There's a figure clothed all in black and deep feathers of the same color sitting on the edge of the fountain. He's wearing a rather distinctive headdress, the fact that his outfit isn't more native american than it is possibly attributed to his struggles against the full transformation.

The blind man says nothing, nor spares attention to anyone that passes him by unless they address him first.

Dark birds of all shapes and sizes have gathered around his feet and all around the edges of the fountain as well. They are also eerily silent, scattering as anyone approaches on to return to the same spot at the first opportunity.]

((Itachi will be playing the role of Raven, the trickster.))

This doesn't have to have anything to do with the actual act of drinking, though.

[Beer goes on the coffee table. He can put in the fridge later. He'll take a second to arm himself and shove on his boots.]

[Itachi turns and leads the way back out into town.

If not spoken to first, he will say little over the walk there, as idle chit-chat isn't in his nature.]

[Law's not saying much either. Just enjoying the companionable silence and the early autumn weather all the way to Good Spirits.]

[It isn't until they reach the door and Itachi is pulling it open that he says:]

I would ask you to act on my behalf this evening.

It's a simple enough request.

[Blink. Eyebrow raise.]

Sure, as long as you tell me what acting on your behalf means...

It means that if anything needs to be done, any challenge needs to be answered, you can do it in my place.

Agree to this, and I will ask nothing else of you while this experiment lasts.

It's most likely that you will be needed for nothing, but this should satisfy any further urges I have.

[Law follows, listening to the rustle outside as the trees next to Good Spirits fill with birds, and takes a seat beside him.]

I was considering trying something new, but I'm afraid I just don't have the desire to right now.

Speaking of, how's the garden doing? You should be about ready to harvest your crops...

It's doing fairly well. I chose vegetables that weren't too difficult to maintain, as I haven't properly worked a garden in years.

I would hardly call them crops, but I'd be willing to share some of what I collect.

[Amused.] Semantics, Itachi. [And this is the point of the evening where there's a drunken wolf whistle directed in their general direction, and then the slamming of the bar door as someone staggers their way home.

And we're more amused. Laughing.] Well it appears that someone liked what they saw over here - but, yes, if you're willing to share, I'm willing to cook. Or trade you some of my fruit from the trees in the back yard.

[The whistle is ignored completely, Itachi showing neither amusement or embarrassment at it.]

I had been volunteering to cook as well, but I won't keep you from that if you'd enjoy it.

[He takes a sip of his sake and lets the pleasant warmth work its way down.]

I do enjoy it [It's become quite the hobby.], but I also don't mind someone else pitching in as well. It's fun either way.
