[Today Itachi is around town. ...Or is he?

The ninja is once again testing his limits in this place, and today is further experimenting in genjutsu - illusionary techniques. What he can do now is so much more limited than what he could before.

He will be appearing all around town, and if you see him today, you're already caught in his illusion. It affects all your senses, and nothing should appear off in any way. It will also be perfectly harmless. He simply won't be where you think you're seeing him.

He may incline his head to you, perhaps looking to be in a talkative mood.

Or perhaps, if you prefer, he can be found in the flesh at the end of the day sitting outside the Seventh Heaven, clearly exhausted though doing his best not to appear so.]

((ooc: If you think your character would be able to see through this (this isn't common, even among people highly trained in genjutsu, but I can account for varying universes) let me know.))

[There are several red-eyed crows on the path ahead. They appear to be doing nothing more than searching the ground for food.]

[Irvine gives Itachi a tip of his hat, before moving to walk past those crows.

The only thing that's odd is just that's there's crows around, and he's not paying it any mind. He should probably pay more attention to things like the fact that they had red eyes -- especially since he was a sharpshooter and all -- but he's not. Go figure.]

[He can feel free to keep walking. However, his destination might not be getting any closer. If he looks back, he'll find Itachi just as close as he ever was.]

[Given that his destination wasn't really all that far, Irvine is certainly confused. Which will cause him to turn around just to check how far he's gotten, because maybe he zoned out or something.]

[Itachi just eyes him calmly.]

Right, right. Sorry 'bout that. [He's just off today, that's all. He'll try walking away again.]

[And it may seem like he's getting somewhere now. The birds alight in a mass of cawing, coming together in a group and forming the silent figure of Itachi again further up the road.

I he looks back, the ninja will still be behind him as well.]

[Okay. That's not normal. Irvine just needs to double check and turn around and--

He's still there. Okay, something fishy is going on.] What the?

[Both Itachi's speak at once.] Is something wrong?

[This requires thought.] Either you have a twin, or you can be in two places at once. Mind telling me which one it is?

[The one standing behind him is gone now, leaving only the one on the road.]

[Huh? That's...] Guess I'm just seeing things.

[Itachi smiles only a little.]

You're not. And you should work on that. Someone could take advantage of you far too easily.

[Then the figure dissolves into a flow of crows again, and they scatter into the tree-tops.

The road is now the way it should be, and Itachi is nowhere to be seen.]

[And this just leaves Irvine stumped as hell. He has no idea what just happened.
