[Forward-dated to tomorrow (the 30th)]
[The calm facade is easy to slip into after years of conditioning himself. Perhaps too easy. He hasn't slept or eaten much in the past few days, though he'll have to force himself to do both soon enough despite the influence of the hallucinations. The only outward signs that he might be having difficulty, however, are a little darkness around his eyes and the rare bit of clumsiness on his part one would never see normally.
But his thoughts are a jumbled mess. This becomes apparent the moment he opens his mouth. Despite this, he still manages to throw up a couple strong filters. Perhaps it's a cry for help of sorts.]
[filtered to Katara]
Katara-san... Do you know who I am? Have you left your window open?
[filtered FROM Sasuke]
There are dead crows on my windowsill. I think they were trying to get in.

Katara-san... Do you know who I am? Have you left your window open?

He says nothing as he makes it climb up Itachi's seat, sliding it along the headrest until it's behind the other ninja's head. The jump to there does take more energy to maintain, but it's a small gap. He performs a hand seal to keep it up anyways.
Cautiously, he spreads his shadow out to circle around Itachi's eyes.]
[action]
He does nothing to fight back, though.] What are you...?
[action]
Once the Sharingan is covered, his hands quickly form the hand seal for Kage Mane no Jutsu, ensuring the Uchiha won't be able to move. Still standing, Shikamaru suddenly snaps forward. For him there's nothing to hit but open air. For Itachi, there is one very solid table.]
[action]
Dazed, he slips off the edge to the ground, falling into blissful unconsciousness.]

He hits the light switch when he goes, and the ANBU mask falls back into place.]
