Is there any method of distributing printed information in this city? Books, newspapers.

Being provided with everything is no reason to allow creativity to go stagnant.

[Itachi can be found sitting outside the Seventh Heaven with a cup of tea, just taking in the scenery. His Akatsuki robes, though later reacquired in town, have been ditched in favor of a loose blue silk shirt.

He still seems a bit lost in thought, but otherwise far more collected than he'd been previously.]

Did you have particular ideas? I know that there was a short-lived newspaper of sorts, distributed through the journals. The journal network is the surest way to reach the entire populace, as several don't reside in the village proper.

I thought we might be able to do with public archives of information made by the populace, or at least a method of distributing original works. Perhaps that's too much.

Public archives of information require accuracy and proper maintenance. And as you know, once information needs to be amended, it needs to be republished. One of the problems is the lack of stability; if someone disappears, many times their work goes with them.

But if the population wishes to pool their resources, I'm sure something will be developed. Garnering enough interest is usually the largest obstacle.

I assume that's the problem with many larger projects here - the constant disappearances.

Correct. Several of the businesses, such as the restaurants and the forge, only continue to be maintained because their creators have been--or were--here for a long while. Once it is properly established, the project or workspace is more likely to be taken over by a remaining resident.

I see. I will have to take a better look at the facilities that already exist to get an idea of things.
