All the arrangements have been pretty much been made. They’ve gone over the ceremony with Konan. Spoken with Rei about using the shrine. Spoken with Sasuke and Mikoto. Delivered wedding invitations to: Gai, Elizabeth (Bioshock), Mia, Luke Skywalker, Katara, Masaomi, Shikamaru, Albert, Raine, Ino, Naruto, Minato, Kushina, Sakura, Kakashi, and Sheena. Now it’s down to the final details such as this. And speaking with Rin regarding using Seventh Heaven for the reception.]

Good morning, Luceti. Itachi and I have a bit of an announcement to make.

[That's a pause, and Itachi realizes he's supposed to continue. He clears his throat, feeling slightly awkward addressing the village about this despite all their preparations. He's not embarrassed, not in the least, but this is merely a courtesy. Plenty here won't even know who he is.]

I am Uchiha Itachi. [A polite bow of the head.] A few days from now, Trafalgar Law and I are going to be wed.

It will not be a large ceremony. We did not wish to involve half the village.

Just the closest people to us. [Itachi isn’t the only person feeling slightly awkward. Journal announcements have never been a favorite activity of Law either.] Though we did want everyone to know the good news. Thank you.

Congratulations! I thought something went on with you two at Tony and Pepper's wedding...

Congratulations yourself! Gai told me all about the engagement. [There's a dip of his head and a slight crook of his lips. They really were obvious about it then.] You thought right. We did get engaged at the reception.

[Never mind Itachi off-screen looking slightly pink in the face and quietly clearing his throat.]

He told you already? [Well, come to think of it, it's not that unexpected. Elizabeth ran off and told her best friend, it'd only follow that Gai did the same.] I guess we're going to have to do an announcement like this soon, before the whole village finds out just through word-of-mouth.

[Elizabeth catches that throat-clearing, and it gives her pause.] Oh... is the reception-engagement supposed to be a secret? [She can't really see why... maybe because they waited so long after the fact to announce it?]

He did. [Two days after when he hit the clinic for his transfusion.] ... I think you're going to have to. I'm sure Gai's bursting at the seams to let the village know exactly what a lucky man you've made him. I've never seen him so happy.

[... oh yeah, about that... cough...] ... eh, not really. We... just thought we drew a little less attention than we did. [And then there was that thing with the bouquet toss that let it even more out of the bag. Yeeeep. Never going to live that down ;;]

[Oh man, and here he was giving Law more work to do with all that going on?] Congratulations.

[Maybe when he could get out of bed he'd find some way to get them a wedding gift... or make one. The least he could do.]

Thank you. [Peril of the job, man.] Feeling a bit better today? [Siiince he's not currently in to check on his patient, he's just going to casually inquire about how things are going.]

Yeah, I am. I think my fever broke late yesterday. [Honestly, he felt quite a bit better today, aside from being tired.]

I just hope you guys won't have problems with late wedding presents. It might take me a while to find one.

That's good to hear. [Means that wing's nearly finished its regrowing.]

Oh no. Take your time. [Honestly it's doubtful either of them cares if they get presents or not.] We'll be happy with whatever we get, when we'll get it.

Hopefully I'll be healthy enough to manage on my own soon. [He wasn't the biggest fan of being stuck in bed, oh no.]

And I'll be sure to try to get you guys something good anyway.

I hope so too. [Frankly, Law wouldn't be surprised if an escape attempt happened sooner or later. Nobody was fond of the clinic beds, Law included.]

[Now this is a bit...surprising. Perona had every intention to pass over this particular post entirely, but she had to pause when she saw Law's face, and actually tuned in. The message was surprising, and she paused with her one hand poised to turn the page of her journal, but she's stunned into just looking down at the little book and blinking dimly at it.

Wow, ah...huh. This was not something she was expecting at all. Law never pinged her as the type to like men, so she's a little surprised. It's not a bad thing and she really could care less, but it's just unexpected. Still, Perona can't help the airy chuckle she utters after a moment or two and leans her head on the back of one hand. A pirate, and one of the infamous Supernovas...getting married, of all things! My goodness, Luceti is just full of surprises, isn't it?]

...Enjoy your happiness, doctor.

[This is unexpected. It shows in the slight widening of his eyes. He didn't think she'd reply.

He misses her. But she doesn't remember, and if there's going to be a rekindling of the friendship they shared, it's just going to have to come naturally. The airy chuckle is just another reminder he's essentially dealing with a stranger now.]

... I intend to, Miss Perona.

Oh, you're exaggerating. [Elizabeth laughs a little, and almost goes on to gush about how happy she is too-- but this isn't her wedding announcement.]

I'm sure most people didn't notice! I just have a habit of being very observant.

[She doesn't know them well, but hey, happy announcements are happy announcements.]

Congratulations to the both of you.

Maybe. [There's another flash of smile.] Maybe not.

[Enough did, though. Gai knew immediately, Luke noticed, and he's sure that other observant people caught on. Too many knowing looks.] I hope so. We didn't want to take away from their big day.

[She opens her mouth to say congrats but something else bothers her. He's sort of involved the whole village by posting to the network. In any case.]

...You've already told Mikoto and Sasuke, right?

[Seems kind of wrong to make a big announcement to all of Luceti without telling those closest first.]

You're probably happy enough for the whole world as it is right now, but I'm really glad for you both.

I'd say 'congratulations,' but that would be redundant by now.

[He'd said it at the reception when he'd first found out, after all.]
